I turned 27 on monday and this well known, if not cliche, opening from A Tale of Two Cities pretty much sums up my 27th year on earth. Not to be melodramatic but it really fits all too well.

I normally take note of the major things I experienced/went through and lessons I learned each year. Sometimes I share them and sometimes I keep them to myself. Since I’m typing this I’m obviously sharing. A lot happened while nothing really happened at all.

Since my brain was ordered to process a lot I’ll generalize some of the things I experienced/learned and then break them each into their own posts.

This year…

• I played my music for hundreds of people in multiple cities and states
• I learned that people are absolutely terrible
• I followed through on some major decisions that weren’t absolutely necessary but have been absolutely beneficial
• I figured out how simple of a man I am (referring to my wants and needs)
• I was forced to take a long hard look at my career path

While I don’t normally like to get extremely personal these posts might end up getting that way. Consider it my way of being transparent and hoping that maybe someone else can learn things the easy way from the ups and downs of my past year.
